A kid's eye view from the top of Vail

Here's a quick update from me before I introduce my guest blogger.

We arrived in Pasadena, CA on Wednesday, July 3 and are SO glad to be here.  I'll be posting more details about this portion of our trip in a day or so.  We are going to Hollywood today and the beach tomorrow, so I'll have lots to share, I'm sure.  'Til then.....

John, age 12, is my guest blogger for today.  He wanted to give his version of the "Lost at Vail" story.  Enjoy!

The three kids on the first trip up the mountain in a gondola.

On the way down the mountain, mom and dad say “ok kids do u guys want to ride by yourselves!” We think “oh boy, no parents! fun!”  But Will has a different opinion--he says “no” after a lot of persuasive techniques. So Maddy and I go up the mountain and the guy says “you need to get out.” Well, we have no choice so we get off. We’re like “ok this is ok. As long as mom and dad know.” Then I’m like “ok lets go do some slack-lining,” so we go and some guy is show us up big time. We left, then Maddy says “ok let go hike”, but I’m said “no way.” So we just sit for an hour up at the top of Vail Mountain with M&Ms and water with the better population of vail mountain.
